Shuwaikh is Kuwait's main general-cargo and container port and handles the bulk of consumer and trade imports into the country. Clearing there is a sequence, and each step has a way of going wrong that costs days rather than hours.

The GCC Common External Tariff baseline is 5% of the CIF value for most goods, with exemptions for certain categories including many foodstuffs and medicines. Some goods carry higher protective rates. Duty is calculated on CIF, not on the goods value alone.
Can you clear a shipment that another forwarder brought in?
Yes. Customs clearance and D/O collection do not require us to have carried the freight. Send the bill of lading and the commercial invoice and we can quote the clearance on its own.
What causes cargo to be held at Shuwaikh?
